January's Langford Times

"Merry Christmas from everyone at Langford Park" Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house....

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care. In hope that St Nicholas soon would be there." Well things are certainly not quiet in the home this week. The young singers from the local school helped us raise the roof with Christmas carols. The residents adored listening to the 'little angels' and watching the children's faces. Joan told me she 'loved seeing the littles ones faces, all embarrassed, some had little mischievous smiles as they elbowed their friends in the line.'

The theme continued with a visit to Exeter Cathedral. The sound of carols floated across the winter landscape like a scene from a Dickens
novel. That is until Norbert started to sing and it brought us all back down to earth!!

The Christmas fair also brought about lots of activity to the home on the 11 December. A massive thank you must go out to everyone who braved the cold and supported our Christmas fair fundraiser. We are very pleased to announce that we made £228.58. We would like to thank all volunteers who stood on stalls and members of Tiverton Town band who joined us at short notice, after the local Gospel Choir were unable to come. All the proceeds are to go towards the residents fund to buy assistive technology.

If any friends or relatives want to join in any of the events running in December, please do not hesitate in coming along. We would all love to see
you - timings may vary a little.
