Covid-19 update

Update 17:00, 16 March 2020

Dear all,

As you will all be aware, the Coronavirus, Covid-19, is now a very serious threat to the health and well being of the UK. This is especially true for the older members of our society and even more so for those living in care communities.

At Vision Care, we have taken a number of steps to protect those who live with us and those who look after them. We have written to the families of our residents and our team members to tell them of the actions we have taken so far and what they can do to help. We are asking people not to visit without making specific arrangements to do so with the home managers and we are in the process of limiting all other visits to the homes by suppliers, other healthcare professionals etc.

We will continue to keep people informed as the current situation develops and to update them as we respond to the challenges we all face. Our main aims are to keep our homes free of the virus, to continue to offer the very best care possible to everyone who lives with us and to support our team members doing this, in every way we can.

I will continue to explore all the options available to us in pursuing these aims and to meet regularly with our leadership team to ensure that we are taking every possible step to keep our people safe and well. We are preparing a set of frequently asked questions which we will be making available from close of play on Tuesday 17th of March.  If any of you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, do not hesitate to get in touch – we welcome and value your thoughts and opinions.

Yours Sincerely
